This single-family residence was built in 1911 and showcased a captivating and unconventional façade, blending elements of Carpenter Gothic and Queen Ann architectural styles. The three-level rear addition replaced a previous renovation, utilizing existing openings to establish new circulation pathways. Notably, the team carefully repurposed two pre-existing window openings in the paneled dining room to create pass-through case openings leading to the new rear living room. This allowed us to preserve the excellent original paneling while enhancing the spatial flow.

The visual extension of the existing dining room beams into the living room seamlessly connects the two spaces, with the living room providing access to a newly added rear screened porch. Back-to-back woodburning fireplaces between these rooms transform the screened porch into a comfortable, year-round outdoor living area. Throughout the restoration process, careful attention was given to refurbishing the millwork in the entry, front parlor, and dining room. Meanwhile, the more private areas of the house, including the master bathroom, received contemporary touches that tastefully complement the home's historic character.
