ENTER MR. PIERCE
In 1998, we had an opportunity to design a build-to-suit office property through a relationship with a past residential client. Cooper had spent his young architect years working with Cooper Carry on office-building projects. The timing worked to leap, and the partnership was formed to provide the expertise to work with our past clients on the building to house a business travel management company.
Jones Pierce Inc. was founded and continues to work with individual owners of personal residences, foundation institutions, and real estate asset development architecture.
firm history
AUBURN UNIVERSITY + "THE GRAND TOUR"
The firm’s origins go back to formal incorporation over 25 years ago, founded by Bryan Jones and Cooper Pierce, and even before that to The Auburn University School of Architecture when Bryan and Cooper met on a “grand tour” of Mesoamerica (It was better than being in Auburn in the Winter Quarter).
After finishing school, Bryan spent eight incredible years growing from a green intern to a registered project architect. Ready for a new challenge, he launched his own firm, starting humbly in his attic. Over the next five years, he bootstrapped his business, eventually renting a desk at Seiber Design. As the firm grew, Bryan moved into a shared studio with his wife Allison’s new company, Insight Design Interiors. This milestone marked his transition to a viable business, partnering with individual homeowners and neighborhood property investors.

CONSULTATION AND VIABILITY
We begin with a Consultation, where we will present you with our strategy for your project. You'll have everything you need to determine if you would like to move foreword into schematics. Similarly, after the schematic design phase (what we call Viability) you will have everything you need to decide if you would like to continue along our process to Construction. The phases following Viability are preparing your project for construction. We want you to first determine if we are your architect in the Consultation pre-design phase, then determine if your idea is Viable in our Viability phase, and then make the decision to continue to construction.
DESIGN INTO CONSTRUCTION
If you choose to move forward after the Viability phase, there will be several checkpoints as we progress toward realizing your project vision. We’ll touch base after refining the design, estimating costs, and preparing detailed architectural drawings for construction.
CONSTRUCTION & STEWARDSHIP
We'll be with you throughout the construction process, ensuring your project is built just as envisioned. But it doesn't stop there: buildings live lives and require updating, we care, we don't consider the initial design and construction of a building the end of our services. We want to be your architects for life.
