Rick Weinberg is methodical in his approach to solving design challenges within his experience with both commercial and residential projects. His ability to balance creativity and pragmatism typically results in the creation of unique and compelling environments. That approach also lends itself to completing projects on time and on budget. One successful example of that is the “Daily Grill Bar & Restaurant” in the Hyatt Hotel, Bethesda, MD, where creative design elements helped mask unmovable building system components. Another example is the renovation of the corporate headquarters for Herman-Stewart Construction. By blending traditional materials and contemporary elements in the form of custom millwork and glass, a stunning new aesthetic was created. And in the “over-the-top” category, Rick was instrumental in creating distinctive and iconic shelter structures for Universal Studios and Universal CityWalk in Orlando Florida.
When not in the office Rick can be found in the gym, exploring antique stores and ethnic cuisine restaurants or simply relaxing at home on the back terrace sipping an un-oaked chardonnay.
